Business and economic conditions of the 90's were a challenge
to many, but an opportunity to others.
For Vic Havele, the opportunity came out of the challenge
of recruiting motivated engineers and computer systems professionals
to build a creative and client-responsive company that utilizes
state-of-the-art computer-aided methods, technologies and
tools to provide integrated engineering and information
technology services to the automotive and non-automotive
industries.
The result, CAEtech was born on August 2, 1989, as a Michigan
Corporation.
Vic Havele was well prepared for the new venture. Vic holds
a masters degree in mechanical engineering and cut his teeth
with over 18 years of engineering and management experience
in the industry. "After observing industry trends for
some time," notes CAEtech President Vic Havele, "we
noticed a developing niche for companies providing outside
consulting services. It was something we immediately seized
upon."
From its first offices in Troy, CAEtech won its first major
contract, with Delco Chassis. Since that first contract,
CAEtech has grown exponentially through solid management,
a realistic business plan, and most importantly providing
quality services to clients.
"A supplier company can not provide successful client
services unless it manages itself," says Vic. "Within
CAEtech we have a solid management structure and people
who know what their job is, and clearly understand the company's
goals and objectives. If we have the discipline to meet
our internal needs, we have the capabilities to meet our
client's needs. What we offer clients is quality engineering,
flexibility and realistic advice on systems, problems and
their solutions," Vic added.
CAEtech employs highly specialized and experienced personnel
in information technology and engineering. Key areas of
work in information technology include strategic consulting,
outsourcing, application management services, datawarehousing
and business intelligence, e-commerce solutions, wireless
and mobile technologies, ERP and CRM.
The Engineering Services Division specializes in NVH, durability,
safety (crashworthiness and occupant simulation), vehicle
dynamics, computational fluid dynamics virtual prototyping
and rapid prototyping, structural analysis and dynamic simulation.
Due to its successful work for Ford, during December 1995,
CAEtech became the first CAE services company to earn the
Q1 Award by the Ford Supplier and Quality Assessment Group.
CAEtech is also a preferred supplier to such industry leaders
as TRW, General Dynamics Land Systems, Williams International,
Parke Davis, GM, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and
Compuware among others.
"The key to our success lies in our people and philosophy,"
states Vic Havele. "CAEtech is quality people doing
a quality job. But we work together with the client to help
them reach their business goals. We call this 'synthesis,
not just analysis'."
"We believe we are well prepared to face the challenges
of the new economy. Our track record during the past twelve
years has been very good. We have developed a strong reputation
that allows us to attract major clients and excellent engineers
and computer professionals" predicts Vic. "Our
motto is to stick with the principles of quality and service
that have allowed CAEtech to grow in a positive manner for
the last twelve years."
